Just so you know I hope to have some changes to the activity stream live within the week.

It fixes the newline issue and disappearing text while introducing replies and commenting. After this update I will implement the live stream (no refreshing required and read / unread statuses).

The new homepage updates will also include comments on each persons activity. Again, trying to get the basic functionality. January I will be focusing on the new UI, and finishing up the profile (includes better adding of games, and achievements / leveling system)

Update (what I am currently working on)

Live Updates on Homepage - I am redoing the entire code for the activity stream to incoporate live updates, so no need for refresh.
New UI - Splash page is nearly done. New UI is designed, just need to make it a webpage and skin the site. This UI is temporary, I am sick of the current one and it doesnt work in all browsers which is unacceptable if we want to recruit.

hahahahaha, Playfire has that. They have Achievements for like special things and then points for like more common things.

Basically the achievements give you like a little ribbon and a few extra points, and then everything else just gives you points.

How do you want to impliment a Chat? like Meebo? or custom? because if its custom you could put quick links like Facebook.

No, in all honesty its a really good site. Achievements are planned, and chat is as well (Sidewinder had also suggested it a while back).

My vision is an achievements tab on each profile where you can then see you achievements and trophies:

intense's Achievements

Playstation 3 Trophies
Xbox 360
Steam
Gamer Affinity

Each achievement / trophy unlocked will.. wait for it ... contribute to your leveling on the website. I dont think this type of integration exists anywhere.

I have added an achievement like system to the feedback page (so go vote on it!) and I think a leveling system and messaging are things that intense has planed.

I don't think a chat has been brought up before though.

Just to point out something, on the activity feed, its very confusing, its not like facebook where the updates are in black and like everything else is in something less BOOM on the page. That might mean changing the blue for links because that is very distracting. Also moving on the board and Activity Feed need to look different, because right now they look the same and someone might ask, what the hell is the difference :P

I have somewhat privatized the feature list for gamer affinity. Going forward I decided to more or less keep that information secret as it could interfere with my future plans for gamer affinity. I am always open for suggestions and I would like to move most of that to the feedback tab on the left of the screen.

Nice going Intense on the update. I like how you can filter the games now, defiantly makes it easier to view your games.

Just a couple of suggestions:
- Maybe change the Home button, to Activity Stream, since that is what it shows.
-Highlight new additions to your activity stream, the same way new posts on the board highlight.
-Have a way to sort the games also by alphabetical order, along with a filter. I.E filter by PS3 games and sort by alphabetical order. That would make it even easier to locate a certain game.

Keep up the good work Intense, looking forward to more updates.

Looking at the gametrailers video i did notice the slower initial loading, and the ps3 looked a littler better. I have to say due to the shading they used in the game (more cartoony) I would go with whatever console you use more often. You might have more friends playing borderlands on a specific console.

anyone try out borderlands yet? this game looks amazing from what i have seen. but i was watching the gametrailers ps3 and xbox comparison and on the first thing (i think) they showed the xbox took way longer to get everything into focus. all the weeds and background was just a blur for maybe 3-5 seconds. other than tht it was almost the same. so if i get a 360 then ill have a really hard time to choose. what do u guys think of the game and graphics? and what system do u think its better for?

LOCKERZ Wednesday updates: 1) The invite queue is VERY long again and we're working to catch up as quickly as possible; 2) The Z-list restock event will be some time in Nov but we'll message Z-listers on the day of the event (not before) on the Lockerz Hallway and email; 3) General membership redemption will also be before end of November. Check daily on the Hallway for updates as we have them.

Finally got all my games entered (except my games for the classic systems).

I was just wondering about DLC/expansions; what do you think should be the criteria to distinguish DLC, which probably shouldn't be included in your games list, and expansion packs, which probably should be included in your games list (which for some games they are already available to be added like Warhawk and SSHD)?

So far the database is doing pretty good, most of my games are there.

For filtering/sorting games i was figuring (some you are going to need additional information added to the games):
-by console
-release year
-Alphabetical
-Genre of game (I.e FPS, RPG)
-Publisher, developer
-Series (I.e All mega man games, all Call of Duty games)

I am a pretty trusting guy, so If a site is trusted and they have a good privacy policy then I have no trouble putting my real number on sites.

Now if a site is not trusted, they could possibly take the info that you supplied and try to contact you to get more information to try to steal your identify, so you should watch what sites you put your info into

Hey guys I found another site where you can get some free stuff, though its not as good as lockerz.

Its called swagbucks. Pretty much you sign up and start using swagbucks as your search engine (which uses google any ways) and you randomly earn swag bucks which you can exchange for prizes. Prizes are not the cheapest (though there is a fairly big selection) , but I only signed up about an hour ago and have already got 2 swag bucks so you must be able to accumulate swagbucks fairly easy.

I have a few xbox 360 questions.

OK so lockerz is giving out amazon gift cards. thing is they got UK and some other European countries only. Im thinking i should just get a card and order a 360 from amazon UK. BUT it will most likely be PAL region and shipping will cost alot.

so if i do get a PAL 360 will NTSC games work with it? What would some advantages/disadvantages be of owning a PAL 360 in a NTSC region?

and most importantly, should i get it?

Anyone else seen the New Battlefield Bad Company 2? It looks AMAZING, FULLY destroy buildings, break apart cover, more blood, better cars tanks helis, more of them. more weapons, put together your own kit. They have made it into what the first one should have been. The buildings falling just looks great, and i love this one part in one of the vids where a guy is running behind a wood fence and another is shooting after him and the fence just splinters apart where he shoots.
